Welford Engineering Associates, Inc. is headquartered in Fredericksburg, VA. WEA was incorporated in June 2000 and was formed out of the vision and dreams of its owner, Mr. Lawrence R. Welford, PE, a registered professional engineer.
Mr. Welford, President, is responsible for the firm's overall business operations and its Structural Engineering practice. He brings over 30 years of experience to the firm with the design of bridges, transportation structures, buildings, earth retaining structures, and project management. In addition, he has demonstrated his ability to establish and grow a professional consulting service practice in Virginia.
Welford Engineering Associates was established to provide public and private sector clients with Site Civil Engineering, Land Surveying and Environmental Services for a wide range of projects. Each of these disciplines is headed by licensed professionals and together form the core business of the firm. The firm's reputation in the greater Fredericksburg market has been established by providing innovative solutions to specific project challenges and to do it in a way that provides the client with quality service at a fair price. The success of the firm has been largely driven by this overall business philosophy and the repeat business and business referrals that our growing client base provides.
